Client Stories: Ms. A!
Fierce women need to support each other and for Ms. A this came in the form of some stunningly beautiful boudoir photos. After overcoming physical and mental obstacles, Ms. A has used her shoot to reclaim a piece of herself. When it comes down to it, it’s all about empowerment. Here’s how she felt after her photoshoot!
Q: Have you ever done a boudoir photo shoot before?
A: No, I have not
Q: Why did you do a boudoir shoot?
A: I did it for myself and for self-love. I’ve gotten really into empowerment lately, driven by my yoga teacher, but also because I knew my husband would go crazy for the photos!
Q: What was your favorite part of the session?
A: The reveal, hands down. It was gorgeous. And amazing.
Q: What did doing this shoot do for your self-confidence, self-worth, and self-image?
A: Well, when I was 19, I developed a pretty terrible eating disorder. I would go days without eating anything at all and I never felt thin enough. I recovered physically by the time I was 24/25, but it’s taken until now for me to reclaim myself as a woman with CURVES and not hate them, especially after putting on so much weight after having my kids. I recognize femininity in fellow women and appreciate now that women are not defined by their shapes. It is their soul that makes their shape sexy or not, no matter the size–I’ve really embraced that in the last few years. I’m honestly hoping I can spread that in my life work and that these photos will help.
Q: Was your experience what you were expecting?
A: I thought the shoot itself would be sexier–you’re right, it totally isn’t sexy! But the finished product was amazing. I didn’t think it was bad, I just expected it to feel like a sexy movie scene or something. But it was way, way, more clinical than that, which is good. I don’t think I’d have been comfortable if it was sexier.
Q: What was the best part of your experience? Would you change anything?
A: The reveal, again, was absolutely my favorite part.
Q: Would you recommend us to a friend?
A: ABSOLUTELY.
