FAQs

Everything you need to know to get your dream session started!

  • Everyone is nervous! It is normal! You will have a great time though and when you see your gorgeous images, it will totally be worth it!

    If after all the pre-work we’ve done you’re still nervous, you can bring a friend to sit with you during hair & makeup so that you can settle in and we’ll all get to know everyone. Your friend will have to leave once hair & makeup is complete as we want all of our attention and focus to be solely on you, without interruptions. This is something we can talk through during your pre-shoot planning session.

  • We will absolutely pose you from head to toe and even help with facial expressions!

    All you have to do is show up and have fun!!

  • The majority of our sessions take place in our luxury 2000 sqft studio. We’ll be ready to take you through our multiple sets from light & airy to dark & moody.

    We often travel for boudoir sessions, not only in the United States but also world wide. Contact us to chat through options!

  • No, you absolutely won’t. Hair & makeup is included with every boudoir experience at our studio and is included in your retainer fee. We have two fabulous hair and makeup artist’s and services are completed at our studio.

    Both of our artists are published, are extremely experienced, and can often be found behind the scenes of various TV sets, runway shows (including New York Fashion Week), and truly understand the level of makeup photography shoots need. They are also super sweet ladies so you’ll be in amazing hands!

  • I am here to help you every step of the way! We’re going to send you all sorts of guides and emails to help you.

    BUT you’ll have access to our size inclusive Client Closet that holds hundreds of different outfits (currently in sizes Sm-5xl), shoes & accessories for you to borrow during your photo shoot.

    We typically shoot up to 5 outfits which can be a combination of items that we have in the studio and outfits you bring with you. And you’ll have your own private changing area that is purely for your use only during the shoot.

    Ultimately, I’m going to help you every step of the way which includes having a pre-shoot planning session so we can talk through options, including outfits, in a 30-45 minute phone call.

  • At your Reveal & Ordering appointment, which is on the same day as your photo experience, we accept credit & debit cards, as well as PayPal Credit and Affirm. We offer a 5% discount for any cash that you bring for partial or full payments.

    We also offer in-house payment plan options where you can spread the cost, same as cash, for up to 12 months. Please note that we do not accept checks. Contact us for more details!

  • A boudoir experience at our studio is an all day affair.

    We typically begin at 11AM with hair & makeup with usually takes around an 1-1.5 hours. After that we pick outfits for each studio set then start to shoot at approx. 1pm. The shoot itself take around 2-2.5 hours, after which we send you out to grab coffee or food nearby for a couple of hours while we do a preliminary edit on your photo’s. You’ll then come back and view your GORGEOUS images for the first time, all on the same day!

    Your boudoir session will be very private. The only people that will be at your experience is your hair & makeup artist, who leaves after her services are complete, the photographer, and the owner of Sugar & Spice Moments who is there to help with posing, outfit choice and any adjustments that are needed.

  • Your privacy is so important to us. Your images will remain private unless you give us explicit written permission to share with others, just as all the clients on this page did. We strongly believe that due to the sensitive nature of the images taken during a boudoir photoshoot, they should remain private and secure unless YOU decide that we can share.

    As to the security of your images, we have invested in a secure digital storage system in which your images are stored throughout processing and to comply with federal law. We also work with a cyber security expert to ensure our system is as secure as we can possibly make it.
