What to Wear - Accessories
Props and accessories can be added to any boudoir experience at our Indianapolis photo studio! And they are a fun way to completely personalize your photo shoot. Here is a list of just a few options you can add to your photo session:
Garter Belts, Stockings & Fishnets
An easy addition to bra & panties, that makes a huge sexy impact to your photos, is the addition of garter belts, stockings, fishnets & heels. Nine out of ten women have no idea how to put on a garter belt. This is pretty similar to groomsmen trying to put on a tie for their friends wedding! Well lucky for you we know how to style these to spice up your photo’s, and when paired with stockings, heels or both, they can add a few inches to your legs! When picking stockings, get something with a tiny pattern to it or something with a design over the thigh. Be careful not to get a size too small – this will squeeze in your thighs and they will have a harder time staying up and create a bulge that cant be removed post processing. Fishnets really work for a specific style, and it isn’t for everyone. But they can definitely add some fire to your outfit with the right heels and garter belt!
Heels & Boots
A classic heel does so many things! They make your legs look longer, tone up your calves, help your posture, adds an extra layer of sex appeal to almost any lingerie outfit and makes you feel AMAZING! Even if casual is your thing, I still recommend bringing at least one pair, even if you’re not used to wearing heels, go high! We won’t necessarily be asking you to walk in them, so don’t worry about that! Boots are like the sexy stepsister to heels! So fun and so playful! It can be a sexy pose to be pulling them on ready for a night out. You can wear them with a dress or with lingerie. Heeled boots work best but if you’re into cowboy, that’s fun too!!
Props
This is something that is small but that can bring out your personality in your photos! Glasses: A fun little accessory that makes being a nerd super sexy and can be a fun character jump for a few pictures! Books & Magazines: Many of us girls love to read! Why not add this hobby into your shoot! Jewelry: Adding a choker, chunky necklace or bracelet can sometimes make a great photo! But be careful, too much can also break a great photo!
Hobby props: Do you have a hobby that you want to incorporate into your shoot? Perhaps you (or your romantic partner) play an instrument? Or you do something with your hands like needlework? Bring them along! We can incorporate those items in the photoshoot! Occupation props: Wearing scrubs at work isn’t the first thing you think of when figuring out how you want your photos to represent you – they tend to be big, baggy and shapeless! Well guess what – when you’re in the hands of a boudoir photographer, they can be crazy spicey! Same can be said for most uniforms, especially if they belong to your significant other.
This props and accessory list could go on and on, but at the end of the day, YOU are the most important thing in these pictures! Too many accessories can be a distraction and sometimes less is more! It’s something we can chat about in your pre-shoot consultation
