“I went way out of my personal comfort zone”
I first met Ms. H in a dance fitness class we attended together. Although we exchanged friendly greetings during class, we didn't really know each other well, except for what we shared on Facebook as friends. Initially hesitant about a boudoir shoot with our studio due to concerns about vulnerability with a male photographer, she took the plunge after reassurance from our female-only VIP group. Her post-shoot questionnaire reflects that she had an amazing experience — she truly had a blast!
Have you ever done a boudoir photo shoot before?
“Yes, but not like this. It wasn’t professional”
Why did you do a boudoir shoot?
“To have something more professional, take me out of my comfort zone, for myself so I can see myself in a better light, & as a gift for my husband.”
What was your favorite part of the session?
“Joking around, the music, & Charlie and Sophie {studio dogs}!”
What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth and self image?
“Just thinking back to what I saw when I was doing my selections makes me cry or get teary eyed. Some of those poses I thought there was no way someone like me could look good doing them. But I did! It’s making me re-evaluate myself.”
Was your experience what you were expecting?
“No! Which is a good thing. I didn’t expect myself to wear some of the things I did. I went way out of my personal comfort zone. I was really nervous having a male take my photos but my girl Amanda made me feel comfortable and Wilson did as well. They were funny and really helped me start to come out of my shell. Eventually it was just like Wilson was my pal taking photos. I love that it’s a husband and wife duo and that you guys were so respectful.”
What was the best part of your experience? Would you change anything?
“The best part was really all of it. I loved the atmosphere. It was also fun to get to see Amanda in a different element. It’s really her zone.”
Would you recommend a friend?
“Yes!!”
Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
“Thank you for everything you did! It was amazing!”
