Creative Boudoir Gifting Ideas

Each client has their own reason for wanting to do a boudoir experience at our Indianapolis boudoir photography studio. And every now and then, we get a client who hires us that are doing the photo shoot purely for their own pleasure. They want to have the boudoir photos for their own appreciation of who they, right now, at this special point in their life, whatever that may be. We love shooting those sessions.

More often than not though, our clients are looking to gift their photos to someone special in their lives.  These days you can get inventive with how you do it. Here are some creative ways to gift images from your boudoir photo session:

Photo Albums

The fantastic thing about photo albums these days is that they are no longer boring, generic covers with the peel-back plastic coating. These days, photo albums are highly customizable and can be made for any occasion. We currently have over 40 cover options (with more added often), you can even choose the type of paper you like and offer luster, matte, and silk print options, with samples of each in our boudoir photography studio. Some of our collections even come with smaller versions for the traveling business person in your life or as a piece of bedside art. Give it to your beloved while wearing one of the outfits from the shoot and let them unwrap you!

Metal & Acrylic Prints

This one isn’t exactly revolutionary in the world of photo display, but it sure looks good.  This needs to be a boudoir photo that you want to proudly display and should be one that you don’t mind the occasional person who you’ve allowed to enter your bedroom/master bath/home office see. Metal & acrylic prints are great and look fantastic printed as sets of two or so and comes in a variety of sizes.

USB Drive/Secret Phone App

If your significant other is constantly on their computer or phone, or just a techie in general, a USB drive or Phone App is a great, practical gift. What we’ve noticed about people is that they never get around to printing photos.  So, snag the USB, print off a few favorites and sneak them into places they’ll look.  Avid reader? Sneak it into the next chapter of their book or behind the first fold of the newspaper. Some of my other favorites are putting a photo in their work bag/suitcase, above the car visor, in the gym bag and in a clothes drawer. The possibilities are endless, and the surprise of wondering when they’ll find the next one is super sexy. You can put the Phone App not only on your phone, but also on their phone/tablet so that they have your photos with you wherever they are!

Consider the Source

My last suggestion is to consider who it is you are giving this gift to. If they are very conservative and would blush at the thought of anyone seeing your photo, maybe the large metal print isn’t the best choice. If they (and you) couldn’t be prouder, then pop that baby up on the wall - you’ll not regret it!  Whatever you decide, they’re going to love it. Do something a little saucy for that special person in your life for their (or your) next celebration, be it Christmas, birthday or anniversary, even if that special person is YOU!
