Body Types Explained

Figuring out what looks good on your body can be so difficult especially as clothing manufacturers don’t seem to have a standard across the board.

But we are here to help! We have done the research for you, so here is a guide on options to wear for your body shape and type:

Hourglass (shoulders & hips fairly balanced with a defined waist): Try finding something that is a high hip/high waisted style for panties with a retro-style bra are especially flattering with a wide band below the bust.

Oval (curvy with a less defined waist): High waisted briefs with a plunge bra works great! The bra will give you a great cleavage and show off your shoulders while the deep cut elongates your body and the panties will elongate your legs while creating a waist! If you’re bigger chested, make sure the bra cups cover most of your breasts to avoid spillage.

Rectangle (shoulders, bust, waist and hip measurements are roughly the same): Look for a bra that has a dramatic design like sheer panels and cutout cups to exaggerate your shape and create the look of curves. Pair this with high cut panties with straps that can sit higher on the hips/waist.

Triangle (hips broader than shoulders): Choose something that is contoured as they have padding throughout the entire cup and creates a curvier silhouette and pick something with lacy embellishments for the illusion of a larger chest. For panties, low-rise briefs work great especially in a darker color as it will help balance out your hips.

Inverted Triangle (shoulders broader than hips): This is where a bodysuit works sooo well as it draws the eye down and creates balance for the hourglass effect. Lacy trip adds volume to at your hips and a deep neckline brings focus away from your shoulders.
